TIRANA, March 30 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that the problem with oil is to guarantee the necessary quantities; it is not just a matter of price.
During a meeting with importers, exporters and representatives of the supply chain of basket goods, Rama spoke about the oil situation in the world.
“Today we are talking about, the problem with oil is getting more and more acute so that to guarantee the necessary quantities, not just the price,” said Rama.
“This problem is so acute that it is enough to see what efforts are being made to quickly make a geopolitical transformation that no one imagined and to include Iran in the market. And that after 47 years of sanctions. This shows how big the problem is”, said Rama.
However, the head of government added, “We have not stayed just watching, or following the market, but we are making serious efforts to support the same we did with food and ensure the supply in case of shortage.”
“We do not have something final yet, but we are on the right track to guarantee the supply, in case it will be needed and will be missing,” Rama stressed.
“There can be no oil in the pumps, if this war continues for a long time and if new sources are not created. OPEC countries are not going to produce more. How are we going to solve it, then? This is a crisis situation. It means that we cannot live here in Albania as if nothing has happened and as if nothing is happening,” Rama said. /a.a/p.s./
