TIRANA, March 30/ATA/ Beginning from April 1, all categories of pensions will get increased by 3.3%.
Minister of Finance and Economy Delina Ibrahimaj stated today that all categories of pensioners benefit from the decision on indexation of pensions, approved today at the meeting of the government.
After the government meeting, the minister stressed that, despite the fact that the average inflation rate in 2021 was 2.4%, the government decided to increase pensions by 3.3%.
Ibrahimaj argued that the prices in January and February of the current year have increased.
The minister added that this beneficiary measure is added to the Social Resistance Package from which 576 thousand people benefit a three-month bonus of 3 thousand Lekë.
The Social Resistance Package, according to the Minister, also subsidizes the price of energy for all the citizens, supports farmers with 500 million Lekë to benefit from the tax-free oil, as well as the public transport to keep the ticket price unchanged. /a.a/p.s./
