Rama: I will not reply to comments on my Facebook posts any more

TIRANA, March 21 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama announced on Monday that he will no longer reply to the comments made on his Facebook posts.

Rama said that ‘maybe I am wrong when I think that jumping into the debate with commentators who speak without facts, who insult and mock real information, who vent political anger and resentment, applies to all followers of this site. That is why I react. ”

“For me, it is respectful to the ordinary people to devote time and energy to the opinions of everyone here, using the opportunity of this social network and paying to unknown individuals without any public status greater attention than politicians or commentators who are skilled at swearing, fabricating “facts”, venting their anger. But maybe I’m wrong, as some here see my replies to comments, as sheer arrogance, boasting, mockery and so on and so forth. To me it is the other way around, because a PM who does not care about the people, does not respect the people or even worse, mocks their opinions, he will never take the trouble to exchange views as equals, as I’ve been here for so long. “This effort of mine meets with great misunderstanding of those who want to say what they think, but do not want to hear the opposite from me, as I hear from them,” Rama underlined.

PM went on saying that “today it is more than normal for us all to be under a lot of stress due to the war-driven price hike! But it is abnormal to deny this fact by looking for the causes of this increase wherever they are not. But perhaps I am quite wrong to insist strongly on persuading those who do not want to get with replies. Therefore, in short, apologizing to all those who have misunderstood such interaction as a lack of respect, I inform you all that I will not reply to your comments anymore.

“From the first day in office I have done my best and I will continue to do it until the last day as PM. I thought the best even when I was directly engaged with the commentators of this site, using the travel time or during breaks to get in here and chat. I have also accepted the challenge of swearing, cursing, mockery and accusations from the most absurd, only in respect of all those who enter, read and comment here. For me you are all Albanians, people, members of the same big family regardless of beliefs and divides. I am who I am, one of you, just like you, beyond my beliefs and flaws. “I have done and will do my best to protect you from natural disasters, as I have done and I will do my best to take this country where it deserves to be ,” Rama stressed.

Prime Minister Rama said that ‘here I am and I will definitely continue to follow your comments, but in silence, because your concerns are my food for thought, for my drive to fight every day for you. Greetings to all, especially to those with whom I have exchanged replies and whether you like it or not, in the end I love you all very much. ”
