TIRANA, March 4/ATA/ Public and private hydropower plants produced more energy during 2021.
According to the report published by the Institute of Statistics INSTAT, the public hydropower plants, in 2021 produced 5,344 GWh from 3,090 GWh produced in 2020, thus marking an increase in production by 72.9%.
Referring to the data, private and concession hydropower plants produced 3,578 GWh from 2,191 GWh produced a year ago, marking an increase in electricity production by 63.3%.
Meanwhile, the gross export of electricity (supply energy) reached the value of 2,800 GWh from 963 GWh marking an increase of 2.9 times.
The data show that the gross import of electricity reached the value of 2,253 GWh from 3,239 GWh that was a year ago, thus marking a decrease of 30.4%. /j.p/p.s./
