TIRANA, March 1 /ATA/ The decision taken by the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania to establish a public register of payment service operators, in order to promote transparency and competition in this market, entered into force today, March 1.
The BoA announces that this register includes payment institutions, electronic money institutions, account information service providers and agents of payment entities.
The register will contain data about the name of the entity, the address of the entity headquarters, the initial paid-in capital, the identity of the shareholders, and even the number and date of the decision to revoke the license or the number and date of the decision to suspend one or some activities, by the Bank of Albania.
Data on payment institutions and electronic money institutions will be recorded within 15 days of licensing, for agents within two months and for account information service providers within three months.
