TIRANA, February 28/ATA/ Berat bypass, a major infrastructure project, is expected to be completed in spring, easing movement of vehicles in the Southern Albanian city.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media images from this infrastructure work, which will offer better infrastructural standards for citizens and tourists.
“Another major infrastructural work is added to the tourist city of Berat. The bypass, which will be ready this spring, will bring the long-awaited relief to the traffic in the white city, which is attracting more and more tourists from all over the world every year “, said Rama.
This investment solves the problem of movement of vehicles and environmental pollution on the “Antipatrea” road, and eases entry and exit from the city of Berat for the local residents of the municipality of Poliçan and Çorovodë.
The 4.2-kilometer segment starts at the beginning of Santa Lucia Street (the old stadium) and ends at the city limits with the municipality of Poliçan (the last urban station). As part of this investment, there will be a way dedicated to the “Uznova” neighbourhood.
The project is conceived according to the best models of urban infrastructure, where there is space for pedestrians, secondary roads and bicycle lanes.
The investments that are being made in the municipality of Berat in recent years will have a great impact on improving the quality of life of citizens, as well as give a new impetus to tourism in the city of “One above another Windows”. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
