TIRANA, Feb 18 /ATA/ National Agriculture Support Scheme 2022 addresses support for distressed greenhouse production sector amid rising prices of agricultural inputs in foreign markets, but the sale of uncertified seedlings in some cases by individuals who grow them in conditions way below the standards.
The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development announces that the National Agricultural Support Scheme 2022 offers two support measures: one in the form of direct payments, where the farmer will apply through the e-Albania portal and then submit invoices for agricultural inputs, seed, plant seedling, pesticides used for planting during the two seasons of greenhouses. After check on the spot, the farmer will be reimbursed for a fixed value for the cultivated area.
The second measure will support new investments to be made in greenhouses in order to increase the area of greenhouse land. 50% of the project value will be covered by a grant from the state budget. The application procedure will be similar to that of the IPARD program, whereby farmers have to submit the documentation, ranging from the land ownership certificate to the required permits, after the project gets off the ground the payment is disbursed.
The value of compensation for one season of greenhouse cultivation is 300,000 ALL. Farmers are expected to receive a refund of up to two seasons of planting worth 600,000 ALL, to cover all costs of agricultural inputs. The application procedure is expected to be simple. It will be applied through e-Albania with the farmer NIPT.
