TIRANA, Feb 21 /ATA/ On Monday, President of the Republic Ilir Meta decreed the appointment of Eglantina Gjermeni as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the OSCE Mission in Vienna and International Organizations.
Three days ago, Germany attended a hearing at the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Policy.
Gjermani said that “Albania is serving as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period 2022-2023 and this is a historic achievement, as is the successful chairmanship of the OSCE.”
“I will work with the highest level of commitment and responsibility to deepen cooperation with the OSCE, active participation in forums but also with its member states. Increasing the profile of Albania and its active role in the OSCE, but also in other international organizations, will be the centrepiece of my work and mission in Vienna,” Gjermeni said.
Gjermeni has held the post of Minister for Urban Development and Tourism.
