TIRANA, Feb 1 /ATA/ The Albanian Road Authority informed on Tuesday that the contractors are on the ground with snowplows clearing the roads of snow and applying salt.
During the night and in the early hours of the morning there was rain and snow in the mountainous areas.
According to ARA, there was snowfall in: Qafë Thanë-Kapshticë, Boboshticë-Dardhë, Korçë-Ersekë-Leskovik, Bajram Curri-Valbonë, Kukës-Ura e Zapodit, Qafë Mali-Fierzë, Tamarë-Vermosh, Dedaj-Razëm, Bogë-Theth, Kuben-Vasije, Qafë Qelë-Pukë-Fushë Arrëz-Fushë Dukagjin, but the traffic ran smoothly.
ARA appealed to drivers to exercise caution while driving on wet roads, to adhere to road signage, reduce speed, use chains and winter tires as well as follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.
