TIRANA, Jan 24 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, had a telephone conversation on Monday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The conversation focused on the latest developments in the UAE, bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
During the conversation interlocutors shared views on cooperation in the Security Council, where the two countries sit for a two-year term as non-permanent members.
“The Middle East will be the focus of Albania during its term on the Security Council,” Minister Xhaçka said asserting the willingness to work together with the Emirati side in advancing, sharing agendas and priorities in the framework of the Security Council.
Minister Xhaçka said that she condemned the terrorist attack on the UAE, as an act in violation of international law and assured her counterpart of the solidarity of Albanian government. /j.p/r.e/sm/
