TIRANA, December 21 /ATA/ President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated today that the “Open Balkan” is an initiative of free movement and will build the foundations of the future.
In his remarks delivered to the plenary session of the “Open Balkan” summit, Vucic said, “We have worked hard to get here today and these are the first results we have achieved, so far. Maybe, we cannot prepare the future for our children, but we can prepare our children for the future that awaits them”.
Vucic said, “I really think that this initiative is much bigger than all the three of us together and it is in fact an initiative that will build the foundation of the future between our children. The most important objective is to connect our citizens with one another, to connect people with each other.”
“Last evening I had the opportunity to talk to some representatives of Albanian businesses and I saw a really great desire on their part to invest and do business in Serbia and North Macedonia and I also know Serbian businessmen who are very willing to invest in both Albania and North Macedonia. I know that there will be tourists who will want to come from Belgrade, Novisad to Albania and North Macedonia and I strongly believe that many more vacationers will come from Albania and North Macedonia in our cities as well,” said Vucic.
Speaking about work permits, Vucic said that it is very important and to illustrate it with an example.
“We have a factory in North Macedonia and they needed engineers. In fact, it was difficult to get work permits, let alone do it every month. While now, we have nothing to do because they are already welcome in North Macedonia,” he said.
Vucic also spoke about the phytosanitary services and veterinary services considering them very important issues for many of our citizens.
“People want to see more results have higher expectations and need to do things faster and more efficiently as we have done these times. I think our citizens want to see tangible results,” he said./p.s./
