TIRANA, Dec 16 /ATA/ The government funds the oil subsidy scheme in the agricultural sector for the period 2022-2024.
For the next year, the fund available for the tax-free oil scheme in agriculture is projected to reach ALL 792 million.
Oil subsidy in agriculture has sat well with the rural community. An old promise of many governments, but delivered for the first time earlier this year, this scheme provided direct support to farmers working the land, relieving them from the cost of fuel, in using agricultural machinery.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development planned the funds for the oil subsidy as an appropriate measure that supports the agricultural sector to expand, increase employment and crops.
Currently, the oil subsidy scheme defines as beneficiaries of free oil , farmers of agricultural crops, such as: corn, beans, sunflower, soybean, sorghum, wheat, oats, rye, tobacco, beet, cotton and aromatic-medicinal plants; fruit trees, vegetables etc.
