TIRANA, December 16 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj attended today the meeting that took place in Tirana for the presentation of the digitalization project of the State Cadastre Agency, a process that is expected to be implemented in the period January 2022- December 2023.
Ahmetaj said in the meeting that, “What we are doing today is the beginning of the last phase of a process. The right to property is at the core of universal human rights and between the citizen and the property is an institution that makes it difficult or easy for the citizen to enjoy his property.”
In this context, he praised the government’s commitment to the digitalization of the Cadastre as a new approach that facilitates service to the citizen.
“Therefore, with this initiative, the government makes issue of ownership title as transparent as possible, as fast as possible through one click. It is a big job and a lot of work has been done, but here with the cadastre we have a lot of work to do, as we are in 2021 and the Cadastre archives date back to 1950 and earlier, where a cadastre employee needed days of search in the Cadastre files to find the ownership title, besides the endless decisions of the courts “, said Ahmetaj.
According to him, “What they are doing is not just digitalization. But, at the core is the liberation of citizens, is the removal of a bureaucratic link, where citizens will not face a property institution, but will have a system that in its digital archives has all the transparent documents, at the right moment and every citizen with one click for 1 minute to have the property title letter on the phone “./j.p/r.e/p.s./
