TIRANA, December 9 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time Minister of State for Reconstruction Arben Ahmetaj stated today that the available fund for the Reconstruction program goes up to 35 billion lekë from the 28 billion lekë that was foreseen at the beginning of the year.
Ahmetaj said that the additional fund was approved at today’s government meeting.
“The reconstruction account for this year ranges from 28 billion lekë that was forecast at the beginning of the year to 35 billion lekë. The fund increase aims to accelerate all the reconstruction processes so that all the affected citizens from November 26, 2019 earthquake move into homes, schools, kindergartens or public buildings “, said Minister Ahmetaj.
Deputy Prime Minister Ahmetaj also added that the 11 municipalities involved in the Reconstruction program benefit additional funds.
“Residents affected by the earthquake will return to their homes rebuilt stronger and more modern,” he said.
According to Ahmetaj, this end-year there will be a large number of families who will enter their reconstructed homes after almost 2 years./p.s./
