Kim: Corruption or undermining democracy, now is time to consider consequences

TIRANA, Dec 8 /ATA/ US ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, informed on Wednesday afternoon that the US govt. will intensify steps, adding that ahead of the Anti-Corruption Day and the Summit for Democracy, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued the new designations.

Kim says that following President Biden’s executive order, the US govt. will intensify steps to hold accountable those engaged in corruption or undermining democracy.

“Designations like this sometimes take years to build, but when they happen they are devastating. If you are engaged in corruption or efforts to undermine democracy, now is a good time to stop and consider the consequences,” ambassador Kim says.

The US designated an organized crime group in Northern Kosovo.
