TIRANA, December 7 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca held a meeting with farmers, with whom she shared the good news of increase of the government direct support fund for farmers, for 2021.
“After some joint hearings and discussions with farmers in recent weeks, as well as after evaluating the opportunities provided by budget funds to meet your needs, at the last meeting of the government we managed to approve the increase of the direct support fund for the year 2021 “, said Krifca to the farmers.
Krifca added that this year’s unused funds have been reallocated and will be in service of farmers as a direct payment. The minister said that through the normative act in the last meeting of the government, the fund for direct payments for farmers has got increased by an additional 600 million lekë for 2021.
Krifca added that this fund will be disbursed immediately and will support another 3,500 farmers, plus those 3,000 who have benefited this year, with direct payments to livestock farms and beekeeping. The minister said that there are 2200 farmers and 1331 beekeepers who will benefit directly.
“Let me assure you that we are maximally committed to responding to your requests and needs. With this spirit, to be close to you at every step, we are building the mechanism of support in the budget of 2022 “, said Krifca.
