TIRANA, December 6 /ATA/ Net domestic electricity production in the third quarter of 2021 increased by 7.2%.
According to statistics published by the Institute of Statistics INSTAT, for the third quarter 2021, energy production reached the amount of 1371 GWh as compared with 1280 GWh of energy produced a year ago.
This amount of electricity was produced by public hydropower stations in the amount of 76.3%, by private and concession hydropower stations in the amount of 22.7% and by other producers (renewable energy) in the amount of 1.0% of the net domestic electricity production”.
Likewise, electricity exports in the third quarter of the year increased by 2.3 times compared to 2020. Gross electricity exports reached 323 GWh compared with 139 GWh marking an increase of 2.3 times.
During the third quarter of 2021, available electricity increased by 12%. /m.m/p.s./
