TIRANA, Dec 2 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Thursday that the ambition of this government is to close all counters in Albania by 2022.
During the awareness meeting with the citizens in Elbasan focused on Co-Governance law, Rama said that “we aim to close all the counters”.
“The counters will be phased out. My ambition is that in 2022 in Albania the counters will be all closed, because if the counters and online services system work in parallel, we will never break down the inertia,” said Rama.
To illustrate his point, Prime Minister cited the practice followed at the Prime Minister’s office, where as he said, “after a final decision banning the paperwork, everything went well.”
“Our government, at its own table with x ministers, could not sort out the burden of paperwork, while the whole system was in place. After a final decision that banned paperwork at the prime minister’s office, everything went well”, said Rama.
But the prime minister stressed that “there is still a long way to go in order to guarantee the citizen that he can find what he is looking for online.”
“While those who are used to asking for money will have the counter closed and will be in the offices handling the requests of the citizens via computer and completing the files”, he added. /a.a/sm/
