TIRANA, Nov 17 /ATA/ In local foreign exchange market, on Wednesday the US dollar gained ground against domestic currency lek as compared to the previous day, marking the highest value this year, while the euro lost ground against the lek.
According to the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania, the US dollar appreciated by 0.29 lek and is exchanged for 107.58 lek, while the euro decreased by 0.17 lek and is exchanged for 121.71 lek.
The British pound, compared to the previous day, appreciated by 0.25 lek and climbed to the quota of 144.52 lek.
While the Swiss franc is exchanged at 115.58 lek, or 0.08 lek less than on Tuesday.
