TIRANA, Nov 15 /ATA/ The US Ambassador, Yuri Kim, condemned the violent language used against women today in Parliament.
In a posting on Twitter, Kim writes that violent, degrading language against women – especially televised from Parliament – is unacceptable.
She urged the leaders to be be mindful of the example they set.
“Seems necessary to say today what we planned for Nov 25 (beginning annual 16 days of activism against gender violence): Violent, degrading language against women – especially televised from Parliament – is unacceptable. Leaders should be mindful of the example they set,” Kim says.
