TIRANA, November 12 /ATA/ A police officer in Elbasan is arrested by the Internal Affairs and Complaints Service Department because he is suspected of being involved in passive corruption.
The police officer is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “abuse of duty” and “passive corruption of persons exercising public functions”, as in the duty of Judicial Police officer for the investigation of road accidents.
He is suspected of taking bribes in the amount of 50,000 lekë during the investigation of a road accident, where several citizens were injured.
The police officer is currently in prison waiting for the trial./j.p/r.e/p.s./
