TIRANA, Nov 12 /ATA/- The asphalting of the big bypass, a new road that will relieve the city of heavy traffic and especially the center and the historical area.
The Berat Bypass, in addition to serving the residents of this municipality, serves the citizens who travel to Skrapar, as it shortens the distance by over 1 hour.
The Mayor of Berat, Ervin Demo, informs that the process of asphalting is going according to the plan with the missing infrastructure and the improvement of road traffic set to become a reality any time soon.
This segment 4.2 kilometers long starts at the beginning of the “Santa Lucia” street (Old Stadium) and ends at the border with the Municipality of Poliçan, (the last urban station). As part of this investment, there will be a dedicated exit for the “Uznova” neighborhood.
Also, this investment solves the problem of traffic and environmental pollution on the “Antipatrea” street and facilitates entry and exit from the city of Berat for residents of the Municipality of Poliçan and Çorovodë.
This project is conceived according to the best models of urban infrastructure, including pedestrian crossings, secondary roads and cycling lanes.
