Autumn postcard from revitalized Puka

TIRANA, Nov 7 /ATA/ Described as the hidden gem of the North, Puka has already become an up-and-coming tourist destination, thanks to investments made by the Albanian government offering a harmonious alpine landscape.

PM Edi Rama has posted a video featuring the transformation of this town.

“Good morning and with this autumn postcard from revitalized, touristy Puka, I wish you a peaceful Sunday,” says Rama.

“A small town steeped in generosity and hospitality,” this is how tourists who visit Puka for the first time describe it. Puka is an alpine town in northern Albania, 145 km from Tirana.

It remains the favorite destination of explorers that are fond of mountain climbing, fresh air, tranquility and pristine nature. Puka is famed for its large pine forest massif, which encompasses an area of 400 hectares.

The first spot worth visiting is the lake which has seen revitalization works recently, including resting places among the high fir trees, from where one can climb the Hani hill to explore the natural ski slope or the meadows and hills that are not far from the town.
