TIRANA, Oct.26/ATA/ The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla received today in a meeting the Ambassador of Hungary to Albania, Lóránt Balla.
After expressing his congratulations on Nikolla’s appointment as the Speaker of the Albanian Assembly, Ambassador Balla reconfirmed Hungary’s willingness to continue cooperation with our country and support Albania’s EU integration process as well as the first Albania-EU Intergovernmental Roundtable.
Hungary is a friend of Albania, and our two countries have historical ties and traditional friendships. Bilateral relations are very good. Hungary-Albanian relationship went at a higher level following the visit of Prime Minister Edi Rama and some members of the government cabinet in Budapest in June this year.

She noted the continued support of Hungary, as well as Commissioner Varhelyi for Albania’s European integration process, in particular for the opening of negotiations and the contribution of Hungarian diplomats, who are providing expertise to Albanian institutions in the preliminary process of opening negotiations. //a.i/
