TIRANA, Oct 23 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Saturday from Cairo, Egypt that he has received the assurance that a direct flight route Cairo-Tirana will be launched.
At the joint press conference with Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Moustafa Madbouly, after the signing of three agreements between the two countries, Prime Minister Rama stressed that “trade figures are very modest, yet there is a lot of untapped potential between the two countries. I received the assurance to follow through with and take care personally to launch the direct flight route between Cairo and Tirana and vice versa. ”
“I do not have any clue for the Egyptian part, but for the Albanian one I assure you that the aircraft will never be empty. This flight route will not be a burden on the company, on the contrary it will help a lot, since there are many Albanians who want to come, visit, vacation here, who want to come to this land and realize that once upon a time it was as the back door of our homeland, even though at that time the distance was way longer, ” – said Rama.
