TIRANA, Oct 19 /ATA- As of May 31, over 130 thousand vehicles have been submitted for technical inspection, of which about 28% of them or 36,610 vehicles failed the technical inspection test.
The General Directorate of Road Transport Services-GDRTS reported that defects in damping, steering, stabilization, braking systems, tires, pipes and leaks and polluting gases were observed in more than half of the vehicles remaining in the test.
“Cleaner and safer roads and cities, because dangerous vehicles for the lives of drivers, but also passengers and other road users can no longer pass the technical control test,” GDRTS said.
GDRTS also called on citizens to repair their vehicles within the legal deadline and to test them before using on the road, as the Road Code makes them responsible if they get into circulation with a vehicle with technical or functional defects //a.i/
