DP presses charges with SPAK on energy

TIRANA Oct 15 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/ Deputy chairpersons of DP, Jorida Tabaku, and , Enkelejd Alibeaj, have pressed charges with SPAK on energy.

In a media statement, Tabaku states that, “waiting for the SPAK and the new justice to act in the last 10 days, the Democratic Party issued appeals almost on a daily basis, yesterday was the last time for the situation in the energy sector. Today we pressed charges against the 3 directors of 3 public entities, Mr. Adrian Çela, Mr. Ergys Verdha, Ms. Erina Rexhepi, all of them responsible for the crisis of corruption and mismanagement and for the crisis that Albanian citizens will experience in the days to come as result of the corrupt affairs of these individuals in the energy sector. ”

“To sum up, the Albanian government through these 3 institutions sold energy at about 60 euro / kilowatt hour and bought it a few weeks ago from 240 to 260 euro, even higher than the market value. We have brought an example here that was actually made available by the media which shows that the economic damage is 10 million euro only for one of the lots, the damage incurred by one of the tenders is 10 million euro,” she said.

“We call once again on the new justice to rise to the occasion, to deliver decisions for the Albanian citizens, not to allow any official in office to use power to defend themselves.’
