TIRANA, October 14 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images in the social media showing the first snowfall in Dardha, while the roads are completely open.
“Snowplows have already cleaned the road and the workers have distributed salt along the frosty roads,” said Rama.
The beginning of the cold season brings together with the pleasure of the snowfall even difficulties in crossing the roads. Therefore, the Albanian Road Authority has got ready for applying the plan of measures regarding the winter maintenance of road axes, to guarantee a smooth and safe movement of vehicles along all road segments in the country.
The snowfall in the middle of autumn has turned Korça and the mountainous areas in the north of the country into a white cover.
The first snowfall started today in the mountainous areas in the south and north of the country.
The drop in temperatures, while the thermometer marked 3 degrees Celsius, has also brought snowfall in Gramoz Mountain, Mokër and Korab.
Snowfalls were also recorded in the North-eastern areas of the country, such as in Dibër, Deja Mountain in Mat, and the mountains of Kukes, Puka and Tropoja./p.s./
