TIRANA, Oct 7 /ATA/ – The number of maritime transport passengers between Albania’s largest port of Durres and the Italian seaports has maintained its upwards trend in September, according to Durres Port Authority.
Operative data from the Durres Port Authority show that a total of 60.717 passengers have travelled between Durres and the Italian ports of Bari and Ancona in September 2021, or 35, 254 more passengers than during same period of the previous year.
Since the beginning of the year, ferry transport has shown very positive indicators in terms of processing volumes through the gradual increase in the number of voyages and number of passengers recently as compared to data from 2020, being the worst-affected sector of the maritime industry due to the pandemic restrictions.
