TIRANA, Oct 7 /ATA/ The Central Election Commission will recount about 500 ballot boxes of April 25 election.
At a public session on Thursday, the State Election Commissioner approved the draft instruction on setting the procedures for post-election examination of ballot papers and election materials.
The post-election observation process consists of opening the boxes of election materials and ballot boxes, as well as monitoring and evaluating the operation of the information technology equipment used in April 25, 2021 elections.
The purpose of this process is to verify the compliance and accuracy of the performance of election administration during the administration of the process as well as counting of votes.
The Commissioner also reviewed the results of the General Prosecutor’s Office for the self-declaring subject Ervis Harun Beu, candidate for MP proposed by the Coalition Alliance Popular Union-Emigration – Hour of Hope and Conservatives (ABEOK), Durrës region and the self-declaring subject Ido Muharrem Pashaj, candidate for deputy proposed by the Coalition Alliance Popular Union-Immigration – Hour of Hope and Conservatives (ABEOK), Fier region, pursuant to law no. 138/2015 “On guaranteeing the integrity of persons elected, appointed or exercising public functions.”
