TIRANA Aug 23 /ATA/ – By I.Vata/ The prefect of Kukës, Zenel Kuçana, told ATA that two blazes are still burning at Maja e Rrunes, Kukës and at the place called Maja e Zeze.
He stressed that forces from DMR Kukës, DMR Burrel and firefighters are battling the flames.
“In the municipality of Kukës, the blaze continues to rage in Maja e Rrunes (Laku i Thive) Malzi Administrative Unit, municipality of Kukës despite the relentless efforts by the forces of DMR Kukës, DMR Burrel and firefighters. The fire which spread from the territory of the municipality of Fushë-Arrëz towards the place called Maja e Zeze continues to be active. Today, 10 firefighters, 10 forest service workers and the crew of Malzi Administrative Unit, as well as 15 forces of the Kukës DMR are working to contain the fire.
The prefect of Kukës added that the fire in Lekbibaj in municipality of Tropoja has been completely contained.
