TIRANA, Aug 18/ATA/ Interest income of the banking sector, at the end of 2020, reached ALL 22.4 billion, marking an increase of 8.2% compared to the same period last year, the Bank of Albania-BoA announced on Wednesday.
According to the BoA, interest income amounted to ALL 25.9 billion, recording an increase of 5% compared to 2019.
Bankers said that, the positive trend of this indicator addresses the expansion of banking sector assets and especially the loan portfolio.
Meanwhile, the profit of the banking sector (according to the standards of supervision of the Bank of Albania) increased by 47% compared to last year. //a.i/
