TIRANA, Aug 15 /ATA/ The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces that in the last 24 hours 4935 tests have been performed, of which 397 citizens have tested positive for COVID-19.
“4935 tests have been performed, of which 397 citizens have tested positive. 146 cases were detected in Tirana, 28 cases in Durrës, Vlora, 24 cases in Shkodra, 18 cases in Kavaja, 17 cases in Fier, 15 cases in Elbasan, 13 cases in Saranda, 12 cases in Malësi e Madhe, Berat, 11 cases in Lushnje, 10 cases in Lezha, 9 cases in Vaun i Dejes, 6 cases in Gjirokastra, 5 cases in Has, Rrogozhina, 4 cases in Kurbin, Kruja, 2 cases in Kamza, Dibra, Mat, Roskovec, Patos, Mallakastra, Korca , Kuçova, Konispol, 1 case in Puka, Fushë-Arrëz, Kukës, Vora, Selenica, Himara, Përmet, Tepelena, Memaliaj, Kolonjë, Gramsh, Prrenjas, ” same sources report.
Currently there are 2,810 active cases of COVID-19 countrywide.
According to the ministry, 46 patients are getting medical care at the Infectious Diseases Hospital. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, in the last 24 hours a 54-year-old citizen from Tirana has lost his life to Covid-19.
