TIRANA, Aug 10 /ATA/ The member of DP leadership, Fatbardh Kadilli, reacted on Tuesday following the resignation of 51 DP heads in Korça.
In an op-ed article posted on social media entitled, “Worse than ever,” Kadilli says that DP is headed by the same leader who failed for 8 years on end and a former leader who has bound the party hand and foot not because of his relations with the US, but because he no longer gives anything new.
“We have hit the rock bottom,” he said. We suffered a defeat in ‘91. We got frustrated. Yet, we were convinced that we were the best, we were the future. We were breathing. We were the freest beings of the time. We crashed in ‘97. But we were convinced that we suffered an injustice. We were defeated by means of fraudulent schemes and weapons by those who devastated the country for 50 years. We were convinced that we were naive, yet the best, the most honest. It laid the groundwork for our spirit to build. We bounced back again. We also got defeated in ‘13. But, we were convinced that the Albanians appreciated us for a number of achievements under our belt. On these good things and by correcting our mistakes we were supposed to distance ourselves from our wrongs. What was needed was a new team and a new offer. All that effort went to waste,” Kadilli writes.
“We do not have any new project at hand. We have the same person at the helm who failed for 8 years and who is unable to assure us that he will not fail anymore, who does not intend to give up the monopoly despite the likelihood of defeat after four years. “He falls silent when Democrats need to listen to his decisions, and speaks when he needs to,” Kadilli said.
