TIRANA, August 8 /ATA/ Albanian Police has launched an operation focusing on expensive or luxury cars verifying their origin, documentation, as well as checking the drivers’ conduct on the road.
The Police informed through a press release that during the controls it has found shortcomings in the documentation as well as different violations of the drivers while on the road and therefore it has launched administrative and criminal procedures.
“Thus, during the current week, 123 drivers of this category of cars have been punished with administrative measures, most of whom for shortcomings in documentation, for driving beyond allowed speed limits, for dangerous maneuvers on the road, no license plates and dark windows”, said the State Police.
Likewise, Durrës Traffic Police in cooperation with the Special Forces stopped an armoured vehicle type “Benz” owned by citizen F. A., driven by citizen L. S, who was driving without any permit from the relevant authorities. The Traffic Police imposed an administrative measure of 12 thousand ALL and seizure of the vehicle./p.s./
