TIRANA, July 25 /ATA/ – The United States Ambassador in Tirana Yuri Kim stated Sunday that the justice system reform in Albania is moving forward.
“I have endless hope for Albania,” Ambassador Kim told reporters after an event in the village of Pustec.
“I think the justice system reform is moving forward slowly, more slowly than we would want, but it is definitely moving forward. People should continue to be unsatisfied, people should demand more from their government, from the people that they elect and continue to push forward,” the US diplomat stated.
“Now is the time to keep pushing. Don’t give up. Some people say that justice reform is nothing and we should give up. They are wrong. They are trying to trick you. Don’t fall for it,” the US Ambassador appealed.
Kim went on underlining that the institutions have their responsibilities.
“They know what their responsibilities are and I think they are beginning to fulfil them.
