TIRANA, July 21/ATA/ DP MP Ina Zhupa has asked the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) to continue investigations into the Tirana incinerator.
In a public statement at the Court of Tirana, Zhupa said that, “we are continuing the battle with the incinerator of Tirana, a court battle with the representative of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi after Mirel Mërtiri accusations against public statements we have made related to the incineration of waste at the Sharra landfill.
“We stick to our position that the incinerator in Tirana does not exist, there is no incineration of waste in the city of Tirana. The Rama government and all his structures have been put in the service of transferring public money on behalf of the incinerator of Tirana and the Sharra landfill. The recent environmental crisis they created in Durrës and Kavaja dumping waste on the streets, in the middle of the tourist season, just to justify what we had warned: the allocation of other public money from the state budget for the Tirana incinerator and the Sharra landfill,” Zhupa said.
“Apparently this is a lawsuit where he has sought to plead not guilty, but we stick to our all public statements and ask the SPAK to continue the investigations into the incinerator in Tirana, to hold those people accountable who have been involved in state funds abuse,” she added. //a.i/
