Greece opens borders to Albanian travellers without time limits

TIRANA, July 2 /ATA/ – Regional Border and Migration Police Directorate in the south-eastern district of Korça announced Friday that the Kapshtice border crossing point will operate around the clock to allow travellers from Albania to freely enter neighbouring Greece without no travel restrictions imposed.

“Greek Police Authorities have notified Albanian Border Police that Albanian residents, citizens possessing residence permit in Greece and other European nationals will be allowed to enter Greece without restrictions. Travelers mush show COVID-19 test results and have the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) filled in advance,” police said in a press release.

Border Police added that travellers will be allowed to enter Greek territory after having received confirmation.

“Heavy-duty vehicles as well as buses will be allowed to cross the border and their drivers should fill the Passenger Locator Form and undergo rapid COVID-19 test at the Greek side of the border crossing point,” police said.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said a day ago that border crossing points with the neighbouring Greece in Kapshtice and Kakavije will operate 24 hours a day and all travellers will be allowed to cross the border.
