TIRANA, June 19 /ATA/ The Rinas International Airport reported that beginning from June 22 there will resume flights from Tirana to Crete by Aegean Airlines, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Also, flights with Athens are made daily by Tirana International Airport, also by Aegean Airlines.
The magnificent island of Crete, in the Southern part of the Aegean Sea, is one of the most diverse islands of Greece, as well as one of the most beloved islands by tourists, ready to experience a different adventure every time. Many Albanians live in Crete.
Albania expects this summer season an increase in the number of foreign tourists as the country is considered safe following the drastic decline in the number of people infected with COVID-19. This is confirmed by the high number of scheduled tourist charters as well as the addition of new flight destinations. This is also thanks to the policy pursued by the government with mass vaccination of the people.
During May and June, there were added several new passenger destinations, including Moscow, Stockholm and Malmo in Sweden, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Riyadh, the capital and main financial centre of Saudi Arabia, and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia./p.s./
