TIRANA, June 8/ATA/The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka said today that the election of Albania as a a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council is an extraordinary opportunity.
In a statement to the media, Minister Xhaçka emphasized that, “it is worth saying that this is an extraordinary opportunity for Albania, definitely a prestige for its foreign policy and diplomacy, but also an extraordinary opportunity to deepen cooperation with partners and allies with whom we share the same values and principles, as well as to expand Albania’s diplomatic activity beyond those borders that we have had so far, certainly dictated by an agenda in terms of peace and security in the Security Council.”
“Kosovo is definitely a matter of our national interest and we will definitely have a very good opportunity through being in the Security Council to bring Kosovo back to the attention of the international community, the United Nations Security Council,” Minister Xhaçka added. //a.i/
