TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/ SP MP Blerina Gjylameti stated today that the SP and Prime Minister Edi Rama will continue to have requests for cooperation with the opposition leader.
Invited to a TV show, talking about the cooperation with the opposition, Gjylameti said that, “There are some issues that are of national importance, and I believe that all Albanian citizens look forward as part of the integration process, even other parts that have special significance. It does not matter how the way or the mechanism is found.”
“The Socialist Party and PM Rama will continuously request cooperation with the opposition leader. We have a lot of countries that have had fragile or not fully functioning democracies, which have had cooperation between the position and the opposition in such a way as to address certain issues as soon as possible. I hope in this case we have this kind of cooperation. Several years ago you saw this cooperation at a certain moment, in 2017 that for the sake of some important moments in Albania, there was a kind of cooperation”, she stressed.
Gjylameti added that beyond the level of cooperation, it is important, “to be at the cooperation table in order to once again say stop to those processes which have been prolonged and dragged on over the years due to the lack of a culture of cooperation”.
Speaking about the elections and the claims of the opposition, Gjylameti said that it was claimed for electoral massacre and political entities, as happened with the SP, a few years ago, submitted to the CEC and Commission of Complaints and Sanctions all the evidence to prove what they say.
“We all saw it because we had a live count of votes at Commission of Complaints and Sanctions of all the votes or all the ballot boxes in Berat or even in Durrës, to see that there was no change in the election result,” she said.
Gjylameti said that work should be done to change the mentality of political entities./j.p/r.e/p.s./
