PM Rama extends International Children’s Day greetings

TIRANA, June 1 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday extended his warmest wishes to teenagers and children on the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1).

The government head took to social media to extend his Children’s Day greetings, posting a photo showing a little child hand launching a kite in the air.

“Good morning and happy Children’s Day,” Rama wrote.

The International Children’s Day is celebrated on June 1 each year in Albania and throughout the world through festive events for children.

The International Children’s Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare in 1925.

June 1 is not just a day to celebrate children for who they are, but to raise awareness and say no to violence against children in forms of abuse, exploitation, bullying and discrimination.
