TIRANA, May 30/ATA/ The team of doctors at the newly-opened Fier Memorial Hospital successfully performed the first surgical intervention.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu shared today in the social media the good news of the first operation being successfully performed by the team of Albanian-Turkish doctors.
“Congratulations to the joint team of Albanian-Turkish doctors, Prof. Dr. Bulent Cavit Yuksel, Dr. Ilkay Guler, Dr. Frenki Vila, Dr. Ayse Lafci and Dr. Aida Xhika. There is no time for rest”, said Manastriliu, while sharing photos from the operating room.
Fier Memorial Hospital will serve as a center of excellence, while a joint Albanian-Turkish medical and nursing staff will perform operation, as well.
Fier Regional Memorial Hospital, built in record time, an investment of the Republic of Turkey, will provide tertiary level services for the entire southern region. With a capacity of 150 beds, the hospital autonomy model will be applied for the first time in this hospital.
Fier Regional Memorial Hospital will provide emergency services, surgery, neuro-surgery, cardiovascular surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, pneumology, orthopedics and traumatology services./m.m/j.p/p.s./
