TIRANA, May 27 /ATA/ –By I. Vata/- The main opposition Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha on Thursday renewed accusations over alleged widespread voter fraud in April 25 parliamentary elections as he addressed a meeting with his party supporters in Gjirokaster as part of the campaign for the party leadership elections.
In his remarks, DP chairman said that “April 25 was the biggest electoral massacre, committed not against us, but against Albanians.” He vowed to keep fighting with whole power granted by people until victory.
“One of the most unprecedented battles, where we were not facing a political rival, but a regime that totally destroyed rules of the democratic race. This battle will go on until the long-awaited change, temporarily halted on April 25, becomes a reality by ousting this regime,” he said.
Basha added that “April 25 was absolutely an electoral massacre, a national injustice, not against us, who were and remain the vector for change, but against those who wanted the change.”
