TIRANA, May 26/ATA/ The Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj announced on Wednesday that the duration of child adoption procedures has been shortened.
According to Gjonaj, special attention has been paid to the improvement of the adoption procedure, always keeping in mind the highest interest of the children.
Today, in the Albanian Adoption Committee on Child abandonment, we no longer have a long administrative wait, because we shortened the duration of the procedures by immediately finding “a family for children” and not “a child for a family”. The everyday life of an abandoned child receives its invaluable value, therefore we do not tolerate any delay in documentation,” Minister Gjonaj said. //a.i/
