TIRANA, May 26 /ATA/ Director of Agency for Rural Development and Agriculture Frida Krifca was today in Gosnisht of Përmet, in Habib’s vineyards and winery. He is the farmer who with ARDA support has expanded investment in vineyards and through special agricultural mechanics is continuing to increase quality produce.
“Together with Ambassador of the European Union Luigi Soreca, his team and Zef Mazi, the National Coordinator for IPA, we saw closely Gosnisht where through the IPARD II Program, Habibi was able to increase the area of vineyards with 5.3 new hectares, with technology for damage prevention and to meet the needs for agricultural mechanics on the farm “- said Krifca.
Habib is set to further process the grape produce into typical products of the area. It is part of the chain that contributes to the development of agro-tourism and growth of the rural economy.
ARDA announced that, during 2021, another 30 million euros are foreseen to be disbursed from the IPARD II program.
Agriculture is one of the sectors of the Albanian economy with increasing development dynamics, thanks to the support schemes, which like never before, the government has addressed in recent years. And there is also financial support from the IPARD II program that has brought the farms to modern standards./p.s./
