TIRANA, May 25 /ATA/ – The Committee of Complaints and Sanctions at the Central Election Commission (CEC) decided Tuesday to reject the main opposition Democratic Party (PD) request to invalidate the election results in the northwestern district of Shkodra.
“Based on the established facts and evidence, the Committee decided to reject the appeal request no. 38, dated 9.5.2021 submitted by the electoral subject PD-Alliance for Change, and uphold the decision no. 342 dated 4.5.2021 of the State Election Commissioner to approve the summary table for the voting result in Shkodra constituency for the electoral subjects and the candidates for members of the Assembly of Albania dated 25 April 2021,” rapporteur Elvin Lako said.
The opposition DP had also demanded the election repeat in Shkodra district.
