TIRANA, May 25 /ATA/ – Central Election Commission (CEC) decided Tuesday to turn down the main opposition Democratic Party (PD) request to invalidate the election results in Durres district.
The meeting’s rapporteur Koli Bele said that the Committee of Complaints and Sanctions at CEC, after the administrative review of the complaint against the State’s Election Commissioner decision No. 340, dated 04.05.2021 on election results for the party politics and candidates for April 25 general elections in the district of Durres and the request to invalidate the election results in Durres, decided by a majority votes to reject the appeal request no. 37 submitted by the electoral subject DP and the Alliance for Change.
The opposition DP had also demanded the election repeat in Durres district.
