TIRANA, May 24 /ATA/ President Ilir Meta refused to attend the hearing session of the Investigative Commission set up by the Parliament on the serious constitution violations carried out by him.
Director of the president’s cabinet Edmond Panariti argued that this is another attempt of the Parliament to make the process look legitimate while the process is in complete violation of the Constitution, Parliament’s Rules of Procedure and the law.
Panariti reminded that Parliament lost its opportunity to hold the hearing session with the president on the date he requested, May 10.
Panariti added that the president has expressed in a crystal clear way his stance.
According to him, the Parliament continuous with preparation of fictitious files.
He said that the president reiterates his call on the MPs to reflect while their mandate is coming to an end./p.s./
