TIRANA, May 19 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama had a working dinner with Behgjet Pacolli, the President of the “Mabetex” company.
Prime Minister has published a photo from this meeting, saying, “with my dear friend Behgjet Pacolli, after a working dinner to discuss the construction plan of Vlora International Airport.”
The holding company registered in Switzerland, Mabco Construction, composed of Mabetex Group, which holds 50% of the shares, while the founder is YDA Group with 48% and A Group ltd with 2% was awarded the contract for the construction of the Vlora Airport.
The investment value is 103,966,030 euros.
The first phase that will last 2 years includes the construction of the airport building and runway with an estimated value of over 103 million and 500 thousand dollars.
The second phase, in the first 4 years, entails the development of supplementary infrastructure of business and tourism with an estimated value of hundreds of millions of euros.
This project is regarded as the largest investment of any private company in the region.
The technical criteria meet those of category 4E, which is one of the highest categories of international airports starting from the runway which should be 3.2 km at length to the surface area of the terminal and all other facilities that this airport will contain.
